Summary
We launched ACADIA, a classic 85′ flybridge cockpit motoryacht, in July 2003. This spectacular yacht was built for an owner who has been intimately involved with her design and construction on a daily basis with innovative ideas challenging some of the industry’s most proven standards. This elaborate Ward Setzer design has all the latest technologies including one of the most impressive battery systems put together for a boat of her size. Her custom interior is all hand-crafted in mahogany. The galley is forward to port across from the the helm station on the same level as the main salon. Below are two forward guest cabins each with private head and shower. Located just aft is a large utility room, washer dryer and the very impressive battery and generator compartment. The spacious owner’s stateroom is located below the main saloon. The engines are located aft of the owner’s stateroom under the cockpit. The perfect live-aboard, ACADIA has the same serious speed and pedigree as MAGPIE. The pair of 12 v 2000 MTUs give her a speed of close to 30+ knots with a cruising range of 1000 nautical miles. With her 2 Kilo Pack 30 KW generators, Marquipt 1500 Telescoping crane, and 1500 gallon/day watermaker, distant cruising is even easier and more comfortable. Due to the owner’s heavy winter schedule, he has decided to let her stay with us this winter and to begin his serious cruising next spring.
