John Morin is the embodiment of the term “waterman.” Having grown up on the coast of Maine and after enjoying New Hampshire’s largest lake as a child, John worked in a third-generation service business for 17 years before taking to the water full-time as a site manager and field instructor with Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. This experience taught John the skills that every mariner needs to be successful: patience, a keen weather eye, and an understanding of the logistics required for safe operation of vessels on the water. It also taught him how to inform others about how to be safe on the water.
Those skills have proven essential to John’s success as a Lyman-Morse yacht broker, allowing him to understand the details and capabilities of each yacht he represents and also to determine the best way to deliver yachts from their current location to their new homeport easily and efficiently.
In addition to connecting buyers and sellers of fine yachts, John maintains a year-round charter-boat business, delivering visitors and crews to Maine islands. He lives in Camden, Maine, with his family.
