She was the second of only four vessels built from this design in the early 1950’s and, as far as we know, the only one left in existence.

CYGNET was originally contracted for construction on December 5th, 1953. Constructed of Philippine Mahogany on white oak frames and scheduled for delivery on May 1st, 1954. Among numerous upgrades, Cygnet had a complete repower in 2017 and new B & G instruments in 2023.
