DESIGN

Bruce Farr has designed numerous successful yachts, and this Beneteau 36.7 is an excellent example of why he is one of the pre-eminent naval designers. This boat is extremely capable both for cruising and racing, and the interior configuration has encompassed the best of both worlds. The design of the deck allows for easy maneuvering while underway and for the crew to be able to move quickly without too many constraints. The lines are led aft for the cockpit crew to be able to control sheets and halyards easily, and the carbon fiber spinnaker pole is located on a track on the mast.

The navigation station is located to starboard as one comes down the companionway, and aside from the desk there is also a tremendous amount of storage that has been created both under and behind the seat.

On each side of the engine, under the companionway steps, is a large double cabin. There is
storage both under the berths as well as in various lockers throughout the cabins.

The L-shaped galley is situated to port, as one enters the main cabin down the companionway stairs. There is a Stainless Steel propane two-burner stove and oven, with a stainless steel bar across for support. Immediately forward is the fridge freezer, which is recessed under the counter-top. The fridge is an Adler Barbour Cold Machine, and is 12 volt for offshore capability.

Moving inboard are the twin Stainless Steel sinks, with hot and cold pressurized water. The cutlery drawer is located on the side of the cabinet housing the sinks. There are numerous lockers located alongside the hull, above the counter-top, and they are used for storage of both plates and food.
