This 42 ft. Downeast Wesmac lobster boat cruiser has been extensively refit with all the best of materials and systems.  The Yacht features a traditional Herreshoff-style interior with custom cherry cabinetry, doors, and trim. She is an efficient cruiser with a shallow draft that provides a very dry ride.

Hull & Deck

The hull and deck were crafted in the molds to be as lite weight as possible. The obvious choice of materials were AIREX Coring with KEVLAR cloth held together by Vynilester resin. Stiffeners and stringers also support rubber mounted decking to minimize vibration. With the engines in the cockpit the salon is as quiet as you will find.

Due to coring the bilges remain free of sweating. The plumbing is all new and has a full access collection manifold tank. Control panel Auto, MANUAL for all pumps at the helm station.

Engines & Mechanical

YANMAR 420hp 6LY2A diesels with 760hrs drive this “fishing gear avoidance machine” because they are connected to two HAMILTON WATER JET HJ322s (commercial classification). Linda Ann will cruises 18-20 knots and top speed is 26-28 knots. She is also capable of 8 gallons of fuel burn per hour at 1800 rpm or 8 knots!

Layout & Design

Upon stepping up 4.5″ onto the salon deck and through the custom DIAMOND SEAGLAZE entry door you are in a bright Herreshoff amply sized salon. The galley to port – the dinette (7-person) to starboard. When seated at the dinette you can view the surrounding waters in comfort.

This cockpit is easily boarded by the newly redesigned swim platform or by grabbing a hand rail on the cabin house and lifting over the gunnel.

This portside galley features excellent counter height and a large double sized sink. The view out the DIAMOND SEAGLAZED windows while preparing food is a highlite of this galley.

This newly redesigned helm station is a yachtsman’s dream. The view forward is not impeded by the oversized Himalayan. The electrical panels for the bilges, the lighting and inverter are within an easy arm’s length. The steering / maneuvering controls are redundant with the custom helm wheel and the new JetStick system.

Descending the companionway and immediately to starboard is the guest stateroom with pocket sliding door. Abundant natural airflow and light are available as well as conditioned air and custom lighting.

This newly redesigned and fitted electrical system features a 6.5kw WESTERBEKE Genset with 250hrs that burns1/4 gallon per hour fuel burn under full load! The VICTRON digital multi-control system allows you to preset the amount of voltage you want released.
