ACCOMMODATIONS

This Calvin Beal master forward berth has a custom sliding pocket door. The berth takes up the entire compartment, making for very spacious sleeping accommodations. The large hanging locker is just outside the compartment along with two large drawer storage spaces. Two reading lights.  Access to the anchor locker .

The guest quarters compartment features a dual-bunk arrangement and a sliding pocket door. The berths are oversized singles and easily accessed.

A 5″ step-up from the cockpit and through the custom 40″ Diamond Seaglaze locking-in-position door reveals a well-organized salon. The galley is immediately to starboard, helm station next on the starboard side forward. Portside forward is the navigator’s Stidd seat and lastly the aft portside settee.

This salon features four port- and starboard-side windows that all open. The centerline forward windows are fixed with the two outboard ones opening. The salon’s aft windows open to the cockpit and when combined with the large opening sliding door make for easy communication to those in the cockpit.

HELM STATION / NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEMS

The himalayan console barely rises to the bottom of the forward windows, allowing for no obstruction to visibility forward. The overhead red lighting for nighttime ops is easily turned on-off from the helm station. The forward window is also easily reached to open for unobstructed viewing forward. Dual Stidd seats with fold-down armrests at this helm make for ample comfort underway. The single ZF lever clutch allows quick response to challenging close quarters maneuvering.

The highlight of this helm station’s navigational set-up is the up-to-date Furuno systems. The three E-Z Touch screens can be operated with finger touch or with a dial button.

Cockpit

Under the cabin-top overhanging roof protecting this 38 Calvin Beal’s starboard side cockpit helm station you will find the steering wheel, Side Power bow thruster, Furuno plotter/radar, ZF single lever clutches, Simard autopilot, VHF radio, and 14′ pot hauler with davit. Inside this station is the hydraulic fluid filter and hydraulic fluid temprature. She has a very safe gunnel height of 29″ for support while fish-fighting. Port side tackle center has eight trays, hot and cold stainless sink and the fuel supply manifold.
