Summary
We knew what we were in for when John and Pepe Maynard decided to build this new 30′. The Maynard’s built a Seguin 44, MAGIC in 1983 and have kept her with us over the years. As a result of this long association we knew that we were going to build an exceptional boat with some very good friends. The boat shows the results well. Nick Maynard and our designers worked closely to tweak the different aspects of the profile and the look is stunning. RUMBLE has a top speed of 30 knots and will cruise all day at 25. We were so excited about her performance we performed a sea trial in 25 – 30 knot winds with an outgoing tide against the wind between Burnt and Allen islands. We never had to throttle below 20 as we sliced comfortably through a short 6-8 foot wave. This is an exciting boat, both utilitarian and elegant.
