Since retiring from a 35 year career as an award winning Cinematographer, Joseph Yacoe has turned his lifelong passion for boats and the sea towards working at Lyman-Morse as a Yacht Broker. Joseph has owned a number of yachts himself and knows the brokerage world and the in’s and out’s of yacht ownership from a buyer/owner perspective. He has also had years of experience living aboard several of these yachts with his wife and three children, sailing between Eastern Long Island, the Bahamas and the West Indies. He has a USCG 100 Ton Master’s license and is a US Sailing Certified Level One Instructor.
Joseph grew up on the North Shore of Long Island where his love of sailing started at a young age. He had a successful racing career, wining several US National Championships, Atlantic Coast Championships and plenty of club races. He was also a racing coach at Seawanhaka Corinthian YC in Oyster Bay, NY.
Joseph lives in Belfast, Maine with his wife Marina. They have 3 grown children and have a small homestead with sheep and chickens.
