Winter 2022 has seen Lyman-Morse’s Camden Boatyard Improvements project hitting new construction milestones, with all buildings framed in and heading toward a late spring 2022 completion. The building structures, representing 33,000 square feet of marine service and mixed-use commercial space, have had their roofs completed, windows installed, and exterior siding started. Each area has been carefully designed to evoke the historic waterfront structures that lined Camden Harbor in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Inside the buildings, fit-out continues in high gear with teams of Maine electricians, plumbers, and framers hard at work. When completed in June 2022, Lyman-Morse’s rebuilt complex will be a twenty-first century example of modern, viable, working waterfront.
With the completion of the Camden Boatyard Improvements project, Lyman-Morse is offering new opportunities for a variety of local businesses. In addition to the Blue Barren Distillery, which will be offering great cuisine as well as their legendary (and local!) gin and other spirits, the Camden site will feature a new full-service restaurant, Salt Wharf. Look for more information soon about the delicious food and cocktails that will be offered at one of Camden Harbor’s finest locations, open to both marina customers and the general public.
Finally, Lyman-Morse has a few remaining spaces available to entrepreneurs looking to set up shop on the harbor, whether they’re a professional seeking a shoreside office or a gallery or craftsperson looking to promote their work to the many visitors who come to Lyman-Morse by both land and sea.
