Accommodations
Nunki may well be one of the nicest B40s in existence today. Thanks to a massive 2006-2008 refit, this 1970 B40 yawl offers all the nostalgia of her era but with all the modern technology available today. The bright and cheerful Herreshoff-style interior provides a great combination of white bulkheads and high gloss varnished cherry trim. Exceptionally plush and cozy interior blue cushions with backrests provide luxurious comfort. A beautiful Luke fireplace with blue and white delft tiles provides heat for the main salon on those chilly New England summer nights.
OWNER’S CABIN
The owner’s cabin is forward, where a large custom inner spring mattress berth provides spacious sleeping accommodations for two, and storage below. A hanging locker is to starboard and dresser to port, with custom TV cabinet/locker. A large opening overhead hatch provides great light and ventilation; along with several opening portlights in the cabin-sides. The fore-peak anchor/chain locker can be accessed through opening doors at the head of the custom berth.
The head is to port and equipped with an electric toilet and 17-gallon aluminum holding tank (with a fitting to connect to a potential second tank (not included); Y-valve and overboard discharge macerator pump; hand-held shower; sink with hot and cold water, Corian counter top and new head cabin sole.
MAIN SALON
The salon is pleasant and bright with white overhead panels/bulkheads and varnished cherry trim. The cabin floor is constructed of Hinckley’s signature “Teak and Holly” sole, made from solid teak and holly + spline and not a veneer. The settees to port and starboard are oversize and both pull out to make small double berths. Cushions are plush and covered with Royal blue fabric (with second set of covers). All interior port lights have blue curtains (2 sets) for privacy. Dining takes place at the large custom salon drop leaf table and comfortably seats 6 people. The custom brass Luke tile fireplace is to starboard; a unique addition to this cozy salon. A second hanging locker is located to starboard across from the head.
