John Morin, CPYB

Lyman-Morse Brokerage
Camden, ME

John’s eye for boating began on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire where his family shared a passion for boats. Yet, it wasn’t until his family migrated to Portsmouth, New Hampshire that the expansive Atlantic Ocean and a new level of challenge and freedom took hold. While discovering this new ocean, John sought college in the nearby University of New Hampshire and worked in a family business for 17 years.

His transition to 7 days-a-week boat brokerage was made easier by the demanding 24 hour a day work of sailing expeditions in the Florida Keys and the coast of New England with youth enrolled at the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. The USCG master license he obtained was further put to use by owning and operating a marine passenger transport business for a dozen years.

John is the proud parent of two teenage children that have strong sailing skills and share his love of the marine environment.

John’s most recent job experience has been 12 years building a successful yacht brokerage for a Maine company.

He has maintained his Certified Professional Yacht Brokers Association license for over four years.

Enabling people to get out on the water is a central theme to John’s life and he brings that desire and enthusiasm with him to a remarkable organization here at to Lyman-Morse Brokerage.

“I am able to advise my customers with the best information and resources that the Lyman-Morse team of 120+ people can provide so that my customers can make the most informed decisions possible.”
