Lyman-Morse has been recognized by the Maine Clean Boatyards and Marinas Program for the 6th year in a row. This year we have achieved our highest level of regonigition -- the Gold Level -- for our committment to reducing our footprint and using resources as responsibly as possible. In past years, we had been recognized at the Silver Level.
Gerry Tiernan, the Program Coordinator for the Maine Clean Boatyards and Marinas Program, remarked that "Lyman-Morse has gone above and beyond to create a green, more sustainable business. You are proof that integrating environmentally friendly policies that can actually benefit a business."
The recertification team was impressed with many of the systems that we have implemented including our solvent recycler, to the ZeroBase ReGenerators, and our green building.
The Gold Level was earned this year thanks in part to Lyman-Morse's new process of bottom washing boats, in which non of the residual material or water runoff is allowed to reenter the St. George River.
