Governor John Baldacci and Maine DEP Commissioner David Littell honored Lyman Morse for participating in the department’s voluntary Environmental Leaders of Maine: Smart Growth through Smart Production program on Friday, April 24th in Augusta. Lyman Morse was recognized for achieving a 36% reduction in energy usage since 2004. This reduction is equivalent reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 292 metric tons!
Justin Wiegleb, JB Turner, Mackenzie Cronin and Ron Defoe were present to accept the award from the governor. The Environmental Leaders program provides a blueprint for businesses to follow to exceed environmental compliance standards and to become mentors in the business community.
