We
launched ANNIE ROSE in the fog and mist of an early spring day in April
2005, just as scheduled. After an few additional weeks of refinements
and final preparations
at Lyman-Morse, she moved on to her summertime homeport of Pemaquid, Maine. This new 38'
jet boat we
built for Chip and Annie Williams is a real beauty! After talking with
Chuck Paine and Mark Fitzgerald of C.W. Paine Yacht Design for
several years, we developed a stylish, single jet cruiser which would be available from us on a
semi-custom basis. The main focus was on a sea-kindly, fast and dry ride; all this plus a beautifully
appointed exterior and interior with ample accommodations for a
couple to enjoy. After looking over the
production options, it was clear to both Chip and Annie that to have
such a
unique boat -- and one that ran truly superbly -- they would need a custom
design-and-build. They found the Mark Fitzgerald design we had been
developing to be the boat that answered their needs for performance and
style. Taking the best ideas of his previous designs and putting
all the pieces together, we created this remarkable and beautiful, fast boat
complete with all the amenities the Williams wanted for coastal cruising.
