HERON
is a fiberglass Dyer 29 powerboat, hull number DYEJO1490777,
Documentation Number 1021675, built by The Anchorage, Inc., Warren,
Rhode Island in 1977. She is 28'6" in length, 9'5" in beam, with a
draft of 2'6". Heron has a custom wheelhouse, completely enclosed,
fiberglass over plywood. She is powered by a Yanmar 4LH-DTE 170
horsepower diesel engine, installed new in May 2002, with a total of
186 hours. She has a cage on her prop for cruising in Maine waters.
HERON was purchased by her
current owner in 1998 and used in and around Tenants Harbor, Maine
from June to early September. She has been laid up ashore and stored
inside by Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding each winter. Heron was surveyed on
July 27, 2004 by Joseph Lobley, Waldoboro, Maine. Lyman-Morse completed
survey recommendations in the fall of 2004 and winter of 2005. Copies
of the survey report are available upon request.
