Koan is a Lyman-Morse Wesmac, a unique timeless classic beyond its “true to the glance” Downeast Flybridge design she provides 3 staterooms, a galley up, 3 helm stations and a 18kt cruise in a 50 foot custom Lyman-Morse built boat.

If you have ever wondered about the mystique of “Downeast” boats, why they “look” the way they do then you should investigate this well spoken of boat (call for press coverage). The traditional shapes on this elegant boat translate into a powerfully comfortable safe ride in very challenging sea conditions. (Downeast hull designs are known for their soft, dry ride. They ride at relatively flat angles at all speed ranges. Moreover, like many private airplanes, their single engine design cuts fuel and maintenance costs in half while also providing a keel that gives the best protection to the propeller and rudder possible.) KOAN offers Maine built Downeast luxurious craftsmanship, capable sportfish amenities and knowledgeable original ownership. This rare combination of modern Downeast hull design (Wesmac) generous fit and finish work from Lyman-Morse awaits your dream come true.
