Accommodations

Even the most discriminating eye would marvel at the attention to detail present in Crucero. The original owner worked with the builder to make a custom styled slat bed in the forepeak, which makes accessing storage below the bed easier and also provides for a better night's sleep than traditional styled beds. The advantages of owning a custom built yacht are also present in the salon seats, which serve double-duty as storage compartments.

At the bow, you'll find storage under the forepeak bunk and a set of 3 mahogany drawers on either side. On the port side is a large hanging locker with a bookshelf and small counter. On the stbd side is another cabinet with four drawers, counter and another small bookshelf. The forepeak has two 12v Hella fans, four 12v lights, and several access points for the bow thruster and anchor locker.

Moving aft you'll find the galley to port with all the amenities of a well appointed home. There is a very large double sink, Force 10 Propane stove, and a Dometic propane/electric refrigeration/freezer. All usable space has been put to use as dry storage. Tucked away is a 110v washer/dryer unit.
The head is light and well-ventilated thanks to two opening portlights and hatch. The separate shower stall with seat allows for a more spacious area. Also included is a Vaccu-flush toilet, H&C pressure sink, locker and outboard locker storage.

A few steps outside the galley lead you to the bright and airy salon, where an L-shaped settee features storage below. This is complemented on the port side by two swivel chairs with moveable side table to hold beverages or slide out for use as a laptop work area. A removable drop leaf table is to starboard. Two removable helm chairs are situated in front of the lower steering station.

Engine access is available through a main floor hatch and through numerous easily-lifted floor panels. The engine room is clean and provides easy access to all of Tarka's vital organs.
