September 2013

Red Sky is back for her regular pre-Caribbean prep. After a great summer cruising Maine with family and friends. Capt Bob is readying the 100’ custom Nautor Swan for winter in the Caribbean.

The foam in the overhead panels failed meaning that all the overhead panels were starting to bubble. We have removed the UltraLeather and degraded foam. Donnie Ritchie realized that the foam really served no purpose so we were able to recycle the leather and rewrapped the overheads restoring the interior to its original gorgeousness.

This fall’s work also included a haul out to receive a fresh coat of Interlux Ultra Black bottom paint. Her prop and shaft will be aggressively scrubbed down to the shiny stainless finish. Old zincs were replaced and her brilliant red hull will be waxed to a brilliant shine.

She will head south to Virgin Gorda and we wish her only red skies at night!
