We welcomed Red Sky and her crew back to Thomaston the fall of 2011. Red Sky now has the distinction of holding the record for the longest mast pulled by the LYS crew – 140 feet! The mast and the 100’ Swan are now snugged in Building 11 and Scott Layton and his team are all over the following list of projects:

RED SKY, a 100' Nautor Swan will be here at the yard this winter in for a variety of projects. We're looking forward to getting started and RED SKY's crew, Bob, Kathy and Will, are looking forward to spending some more time kiteboarding out on the St. George River, just off the our docks!

Work is well underway as we've settled into the long winter months in the shed. Since our last update, the crew at LM has tackled a significant amount of work:
· New teak around hatches
· Sanding deck
· Interior varnish
· Installation of new generation with new PTO brackets
· Just finished all deck paint
· Jet tender refurbishment: paint job; engine rebuild and paint job
· 24 2 volt batteries removed and new ones installed and wired
· All standing rigging sent to Navtec for die penetrant testing and some re-heading.
· New helm station panels designed and built
· All new rope lighting inside
· New sails are in process of being made.
· Hundested serviced
· Removed shaft, replace cutlass bearings
