LM 70' Performance Cruiser
$650,000

Embrace the rare opportunity to own this exceptional 70’ Offshore Cruiser custom built by the craftsmen at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding. Approximately 60% complete, she can be customized to your personal specifications .

This yacht was commissioned to provide a safe and manageable vessel for the owner's family for sailing offshore on extended trips. The interior aesthetics of the boat represent a traditional look and feel, but she has been built to modern standards in every respect.  The boat is to be a real cruising boat -- simple in every detail not only to remain within budget, but to make the boat easier to handle and maintain.

Designer Comments

Performance with ease of handling is the cornerstone of the vessel. Designed specifically with the short-handed crew in mind, one of the secrets to the ease with which the hull glides through the water is the water line beam to hull depth ratio. By creating less drag, a smaller rig can be employed. Smaller sails mean less work for the crew and more time available to enjoy a more comfortable passage without compromising performance. The sleek and efficient canoe body shaped hull conceals a deceptively spacious interior. An interior which works well both at sea and in port. The boat does not compartmentalize the interior with small individual cabins. Instead, we concentrate on a commodious open plan central living area with spacious accommodations for the owners, their family and guests. Safety, speed, comfort and the ability to travel in a civilized style with the  minimum of maintenance are features that are incorporated in the design from the beginning.
